Our Policies
Appointments
All communications with your providers and their staff will be through the secure patient portal only. Please do not call or leave voicemails.
Portal messages will be returned promptly either by the provider or their medical assistant with 24-48 hours.
Please note: You must have photo id and your insurance information with you for your appointment. If you do not have this information, your appointment will be rescheduled.
We DO NOT accept accident or work-related injuries of any kind.
Prescription Refills
If you need a prescription refill, please call your pharmacy first to see if they will require a doctor’s renewal. If one is needed, they will contact us electronically for faster response. This will cut down on unnecessary messages and phone calls back and forth.
Please note: We do not refill prescriptions that are considered controlled substances after hours or on the weekends. We will only refill prescriptions during normal working hours.
Please be sure to list all medications that you are taking via the secure patient portal, or the new patient paperwork if this is your first visit. We may reschedule your appointment if the information is not provided in full, as going through the list may cut into your appointment time.
Financial Policy
We verify your insurance as a courtesy to you, but the contract is between you and your insurance carrier only. You will be responsible for your copays and any deductibles if not met at the time of checking in.
For billing inquiries, please call 713-338-6519 press option 1 and option 1 again. For itemized billing statements, please call 713-338-5501. Please Do Not contact our office about billing questions, as the third party billing company is the only one with access to this information.
Referrals
If your insurance requires a referral to see the neurologists, please make sure you have referral documentation faxed to the office, whether by your primary care provider or by your insurance carrier. Your appointment will be rescheduled if the referral is not in your chart.
