Our Physicians
Drs. Irr, Vanderlick and Chachere are accessible to both referring providers and patients, and we accommodate our patients quickly. We value our staff and consider them to be an asset to our practice. We will make sure that they go out of their way to make your visits as pleasant as possible. And in order to provide our patients with extensive care, our physicians have received extra training through fellowships in electromyography (EMG) and Neuromuscular Diseases.
William Irr, Jr., MD
Dr. Irr received his medical degree from West Virginia University and both his fellowship in neurology and residency at the University Of Texas Medical School in Houston, TX. He is a general neurologist with an interest in disorders of the Peripheral Nervous System such as neuropathy, myopathy and conditions such as myasthenia gravis. He personally performs nerve conduction studies/electromyography on a daily basis. Dr. Irr has also won the Most Compassionate Doctor award three years in a row.
Mary Ellen Vanderlick, MD
Dr. Vanderlick is a native of Louisiana. She received her undergraduate degree in Chemistry from Millsaps College in Jackson, MS and her medical degree from LSU Medical Center in Shreveport, LA. She completed her internship and residency in neurology at Baylor College of Medicine, and her fellowship was in electromyography. Her skills and expertise are in EMG, nerve conductions, and injecting neurologic Botox for various neurological disorders, including chronic migraine. She has been with Neurology Consultants of Houston, P.A. since 2000.
Danny Michael Chachere II, MD
Dr. D. Michael Chachere attended St. George’s University School of Medicine where he was accepted into the Global Scholars Program. During his medical training, he was able to experience an array of different medical environments. After graduating from medical school he attended Baylor College of Medicine for his internship and Neurology residency in Houston. After residency, he was accepted to New York University for his Neurophysiology fellowship. His training consisted of reading outpatient and inpatient EEG’s, interpretation and technical skills in EMG, as well as intra-operative monitoring of mainly neurosurgical and orthopedic spine surgeries. During his fellowship, he also cared for patient’s suffering from a multitude of complex disorders, and neuromuscular/peripheral nerve disease. In his spare time, he loves spending time with his wife and young daughter. He also enjoys hunting traveling playing golf and attending LSU football games.
